Psych Night & Vans Present Endless Daze 2019

Almost half of this godforsaken 2019 has passed and we've all been graced by the announcement of the latest upcoming edition of Endless Daze. It really burdens me to contain my excitement and to write a little ramble about this simultaneously.

A quick glance at the first wave of acts can send shivers through one's spine. Some familiar, some new. If you know anyone who is on the team who made this year's lineup possible be sure to give them constant high fives to the point of acquiring a restraining order.

Phase one tickets are on for R600 and be sure to get yours while stocks last. I surveyed through the plane tickets for the Gautengelengers to see them around R2k. Keep your eye out on specials you never know what sweet deal might be lurking around the corner. This brings the budget to around R3.5k for ticket and travel expenses. I find this highly do-able and I urge you, the reader, save up and get your ass to this festival. That being said Oppi is taking a break this year, so why not switch the dust for a beach?

Night Beats

This band blasted into my skull one lonely Sunday on a Google Play radio. Right/Wrong played on repeat until the early Monday morning with traces of whiskey entering the bloodstream at illegal rates. They make a warm desert image creep into your mind while drifting you off to some cosmic psychedelic planet where the water supply is laced with acid. Brilliant backing vocals with subtle chord progressions flowing out into reeling solos that remind me a lot of Allah-Las. It's like the Las meets the Growlers with quite a unique take on the genre. Be sure to be in an innocent state of mind if you are remotely sober enough to make it close to the stage for this band.
